I always kinda wondered what had happened to this guy. If you're not familiar with Ruben, let me enlighten ya. When I was a little kid gawking at the extreme sports I was watching on my TV, I ended up becoming a huge fan of [bike] riding videos mainly due to Props Video Magazine (which still exists today and is still awesome). Ruben existed in that time but it wasn't until the release of this groundbreaking video part that everyone started noting who he was. Ruben was on a riding level of his own and the stuff he managed to come up with, no one else would have come close to imagining. He literally made the street his playground in a much less traditional way than you were seeing people ride in all the other video parts. When I first saw this I was in disbelief up until the ender because everything before the ender was all ender-worthy material that was just building up to something bigger. Finally, when he did it, it was just this larger-than-life thing that I kind of just had to sit there and let what I had just watched all soak in. Check out the way Ruben seems to find a way of riding things that no one else would even imagine:
So, after such a long period of not hearing any news about this guy, it was really interesting to find this video to watch. I just found it exciting to Ruben back on his bike and still taking that innovative riding approach.
